Video: Social stories - benefits and how to's to help those with autism


Carol Gray, creator of "Social Stories" speaks about teaching social skills to children with autism spectrum disorder.

Laura Minnegerode demonstrates how to write a social story for helping children with autism, with tips such as: write the story in first person, keep things positive, give specific examples, and leave room for the children to ask questions. Illustrate a social story, and include "The End" to complete a social story with instructions from a writing instructor in this free video writing lesson.
