Sixteen-year old Chanel has autism. Early on, her parents discovered that using puppets helped their then non-verbal five year old learn to interact and communicate. One amazing resource in their journey was a speech therapist, who happened to look like a Muppet. Chanel responded to him like no other person, and she progressed rapidly. That inspired an idea: Could puppets help Chanel become verbal? Hear how this approach helped her begin to communicate and later to thrive.
