The filmmaker visits video game clubs, elementary school classrooms and therapy sessions while interviewing kids, parents and medical professionals who explain the challenges and victories they’ve had with Autism.
Meet Jonathan: Voted out of class by his classmates and beaten up daily, he is now a successful professional bass player who has studied with jazz bassist Victor Wooten.
Meet Matt: A 29-year-old who struggled with Asperger’s through high school and is now a highly sought after peer support counselor for children with Asperger’s and Autism.
The DVD contains over 30 minutes of extras including original trailers, an extended conversation between Matt and Temple Grandin and other deleted scenes. The audience for the film extends to parents, therapists, educators and anyone wanting to see a hopeful portrayal on the subject of autism.
