Supporting Your Child's Social Self-Esteem

One of the hardest things, as a parent on the spectrum, is watching your child struggle socially and not knowing how to help them. So join us and learn how to support the development of your child’s confidence and self-esteem as they navigate the social experiences of school. Take home the tools you need for successful conversations with your child about: how to handle teasing, talking about bullying, how to focus on optimistic thoughts, and how to be a more “flexible” friend and problem solver. Trust us, this will be an amazing class! Presented by Jill Kuzma, M.A., CCC-SLP, a Speech-Language Pathologist whose scope of research and practice spans sixteen years working exclusively with individuals on the autism spectrum, specializes in the areas of social cognition, social interaction skills, emotion awareness and management, reducing anxiety, organization, and receptive and expressive language skills. Jill speaks to audiences of educators and parents across the country, known for her energetic presentation style with a primary focus on specific strategies & immediately usable techniques with learners.

She empowers parents to be the expert and reveal their child’s unique skills, while enhancing the family dynamic with her innovative and holistic 5 Polka Dots approach.
